"A defense of Obama" →
I have to agree with most of what is said in this email that was published by Ben Smith. While I think Obama has failed to do some of the things he promised he would do, including things he could do without congressional approval, I do agree with this line “…governing is hard work, and …a president can’t just wave a magic wand and fix everything.” Especially if the sole governing strategy of the GOP is to oppose just for the sake of opposing.

This USA Today editorial is a good read on Obama’s first year in office. Progress has been made but there is still a lot of work to do.
